As much as I disdain having to draw for any hunting opportunity, these 3 species are rare enough that it is impossible to maintain a healthy herd AND offer an over the counter opportunity, so they regulate through a drawing process. HAPPY NEW YEAR What a terrific sight for the final day of 2014. As sun sets over the Pahsimeroi Mountains, part of the Lost River Range here in Central Idaho, 2014 only has a few hours left and the horses are enjoying the last rays of sunlight on a day that the high only reached to zero.
