2 December Wild Idaho Outfitters is Heading to Las Vegas for Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Hunter Christmas Expo December 2, 2014By George McQuiston Announcements, General Information 0 This Thursday December 4th the doors will open on the 2014 RMEF Hunter Christmas Expo. It will be loaded with celebrity speakers, outfitters from around the world, hunting gear and even some country music stars along with some NFR champions. If you have not made your plans to attend and can get away you may want to consider Las Vegas for a weekend. If you are already planning to attend, we certainly hope you will stop by our booth number 465 and let’s talk Idaho hunting. We are always willing to share why we think hunting in Idaho is the best kept secret out there in the hunting world. As usual at the Elk Foundations National convention, we will be donating a bear hunt for 2 in Idaho’s famous Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness area. This is a 2 bear area with high percentage color phase bears. It is a full donation to The Elk Foundation so 100% of the proceeds goes to support the Elk Foundations mission of preserving habitat for elk and other wildlife. We feel good about supporting the elk foundation because in an audit from a nonprofit watchdog group it was confirmed that over 90 cents of every dollar received by the Elk Foundation goes towards its stated mission. In case you are wondering that is very rare in non profit circles. If you make it to the auctions be sure to bid on the hunt. You may get a great deal on an Idaho bear hunt and if you can’t make it, I believe they are taking phone bids. Support the Elk Foundation and find yourself on an exciting Idaho black bear hunt! Merry Christmas from the gang here at Wild Idaho Outfitters From the gang here at Wild Idaho Outfitters, we would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and safe Holiday season! As I write this on Christmas eve morning, it has just begun to snow the type of snow fall and in the surroundings that I live in, that makes it look just like something out of a Hallmark Christmas movie. Happy Thanksgiving from the Gang at Wild Idaho Outfitters and Castle Creek Outfitters As the girls rode the livestock out on their final ride of the season, heading for greener pastures at lower elevation and a winter rest, we couldn’t help but reminisce on how fast the last 3 months have gone and how grateful we are for what we get to do, the country we get to do it in, and especially for the people we get to meet. Wild Idaho Outfitters expands size of hunting area. The past two seasons the guides at Wild Idaho Outfitters had to instruct there hunters to only look out the left side of the vehicle when traveling to hunting areas…but no more. As of October 2006 Wild Idaho Outfitters purchased the hunting rights to “the other side of the road”. Our hunting area now encompasses over 150 square miles of area 27 in Idaho with Sleeping Deer Road pretty much dividing our area in half. An Idaho Elk Hunt to Remember This is a “short” story about a hunter/client/friend of ours who is part of a group of guys we affectionately call the “Cali boys”. His name is Bill Bunch and someone in his group has hunted with us consistently for 11 straight seasons. He is one of those guys that in my opinion is a true sportsman. Let me explain. Merry Christmas from Idaho! As the sun set on a crisp evening in our upper camp overlooking the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness on November 18, the realization hit that our 2022 Idaho elk, deer and bear season had just come to an end. This past month has flown by and as we inch up on the end of 2022, we can’t help but look back at an amazing year Comment (0) Comments are closed.
