31 December Happy New Year 2020 December 31, 2019By Monica Oliver Announcements, General Information Black Bear Hunts, Elk Hunts, Happy New Year, Mule Deer Hunts 0 As we say goodbye to 2019, we hope that your year is ending on a positive note. Ours is because of the new friends we made and the old friends we got to see again in hunting camps, and we look forward to seeing again come spring or fall 2020.We hope that your holidays have been blessed with good times, good friends, good food and making good memories. Remember, as we exit from our holiday sugar overload, to pay attention to the state’s rules and deadlines that you apply to for hunts, so you don’t burn any of your hard-earned points on a missed deadline. As you are applying for those hunts, keep in mind that Idaho has many very high-quality OTC hunts as well as being one of the only western states that I am aware of that you can hunt multiple species at one time. In fact, some of Idaho’s best OTC units are already sold out, so don’t wait too long to make up your mind. Best of luck in your draws and 2020 hunting seasons!May God bless you and yours in this journey we call life and remember to vote November 3, 2020. Our future hunting heritage may just depend on the outcome!Happy New Year! Related Posts Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! From the gang here at Wild Idaho Outfitters, nestled snuggly under the peaks of the Southeastern edge of the Salmon River Mountains, one of the gateways to the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness area, we want to take a moment and wish all who read this a very Happy and Joyful Holiday Season! “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to Me” or “Preseason Hunt Planning Part 1!” Even though this sounds directed to me and possibly self-serving, it is anything but that. If it were about me, I would be posing on this rig taking a big smiling selfie to tell the world how wonderful I am. Well, I assure you, there ain’t nothin’ sexy about a 54 year old chubby guy climbing up on his new elliptical trying to shed a few of those post hunting, pre- and post-Holiday calories, so all you get to see is an empty elliptical as a symbol of potential for memories to be made. Just like our public lands stand as a symbol to that same ideal. It is honestly directed towards all of us who find ourselves somewhat vertically challenged and girth blessed with each New Year’s Day that passes and wonder if we are alone in this journey from “healthy” holiday sofa surfer to healthy mountain man/explorer looking to scale that peak ahead to look for a trophy animal on the other side. HAPPY NEW YEAR What a terrific sight for the final day of 2014. As sun sets over the Pahsimeroi Mountains, part of the Lost River Range here in Central Idaho, 2014 only has a few hours left and the horses are enjoying the last rays of sunlight on a day that the high only reached to zero. It is a beautiful ending to an amazing year here at Wild Idaho Outfitters and we are very grateful for this past year and are already looking forward to some exciting new adventures to take place in 2015. Happy New Year! As we close the door on 2012…and fortunately for all of us the Mayans appeared to be wrong, We really want to say a big thanks to those who hunted with us! We enjoyed each and everyone of you. We are glad so many youth hunters made it into the woods this year with there Dad’s and at times extended family and friends. Merry Christmas 2020 To say this year has been unique would certainly be an understatement. But has it really? It has had some unique “2020” behavior patterns for sure, but mankind facing adversity and having to deal with it is far from “unprecedented’. Mankind has been facing trials and tribulations since the beginning of recorded human history. Happy Thanksgiving 2018 from Wild Idaho Outfitters As the sun just set on the final day of our 2018 Idaho elk and deer hunting season, it turns out we drop right back into another “season”: The Holiday Season! With the first, of course, being Thanksgiving. I personally am glad that Thanksgiving falls when it does this year as it leaves no time for PHD (post hunting depression) to set in. Instead, it is a time to reflect on this past year and all the many incredible blessings we have in our lives. I have said it before and it bears repeating, the best part of our job is the people we get to meet. Comment (0) Comments are closed.
