Here you will find information about our hunts, our area as well as special offers and issues that affect us or are important to us.

NO MORE WILDERNESS!

Wilderness is beautiful, we can all agree on that, but not being able to access that beauty is one of the problems with creating MORE wilderness. The current wilderness in Idaho is not being managed properly to allow access so how do they think they can create more and keep up with its management? If you are reading this, I can only assume you either hunt and/or fish or at least condone those acts and if you do participate, you probably use public lands. The Salmon-Challis National Forest is in the midst of a forest plan revision.

Merry Christmas from the gang here at Wild Idaho Outfitters

From the gang here at Wild Idaho Outfitters, we would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and safe Holiday season! As I write this on Christmas eve morning, it has just begun to snow the type of snow fall and in the surroundings that I live in, that makes it look just like something out of a Hallmark Christmas movie.

Happy Thanksgiving 2018 from Wild Idaho Outfitters

As the sun just set on the final day of our 2018 Idaho elk and deer hunting season, it turns out we drop right back into another “season”: The Holiday Season! With the first, of course, being Thanksgiving. I personally am glad that Thanksgiving falls when it does this year as it leaves no time for PHD (post hunting depression) to set in. Instead, it is a time to reflect on this past year and all the many incredible blessings we have in our lives. I have said it before and it bears repeating, the best part of our job is the people we get to meet.

Legacy makers (builders)

Today was the beginning of a new legacy. Bold words you say? Let me explain. It seems like an outfitter’s life is ruled by seasons. Now you would recognize the easy ones like spring bear, spring turkey, fall bear, elk, deer, etc. The seasons that most people don’t recognize are all of the “behind the scene” seasons.

Happy Thanksgiving 2017

It is always a bittersweet moment when it comes time to take down Old Glory. It means everything else is cargoed, loaded and we are about to head off the mountain at the end of another hunting season here at Wild Idaho Outfitters. 2017 was a very memorable one, as I suppose they all are, but with Mother Nature’s help, this one was particularly memorable.

Don’t be a fool this April 1. Get out and hunt Idaho spring bears and apply for a trophy species.

April 1 is the beginning of a lot of cool things here in Idaho. It is the official beginning day of the backcountry spring bear seasons and it is the day to begin the application process for Idaho trophy species. Idaho defines trophy species as Bighorn Sheep, Mountain Goats and Moose. If you have the desire to hunt one of these species in Idaho this year, it is time to put in your application.

BEAR BAIT AS LOW AS 10 CENTS PER POUND

Idaho’s spring bear season is literally just around the corner so be prepared with affordable bait as low as 10 cents per pound. We have tons of bear bait in stock and ready to go.

Saying good bye to the old and hello to the new

The sun has set on 2016 and has now risen on 2017. For us here at Wild Idaho Outfitters, 2016 will go down as one of our best years ever.

The Conclusion of Our 2016 Season

he sun has set on our 2016 Idaho hunting season and as we gather with family and friends this Thanksgiving Day, we here at Wild Idaho Outfitters want to say thanks for an amazing year! Each year I say, “Man, this is our best year ever”, and yet it seems like it does get better year after year. This was the end of our twelfth season of owning and operating Wild Idaho Outfitters and we have had 12 consecutive “best years ever”.
