Spring Bear Season is Just Around the Corner…I Wish:)

Although we are having a mild winter here in Idaho, it is still a few months before the “official” opener of Idaho’s spring bear hunting season. But with these exposed south facing slopes and not enough snow to participate in outdoor winter sports like snowmobiling and cross country skiing, cabin fever seems a bit stronger this year.

It appears that finally, logic, laws and good common sense has prevailed over anti-wolf emotional sentiment for once. A federal judge has denied a lawsuit for a temporary restraining order against active IDFG participation in wolf management in the Frank Church wilderness.

Time to put in for some Idaho Spring Controlled Hunts

Most people know my passion for Idaho is the fact we have over the counter (OTC) tags, but in certain areas and with certain species controlled hunts are needed for better control of wildlife management. Now is the time to put in for Idaho spring bear controlled hunts…that is if you are not choosing to hunt a general season area.

Come See Us in the IOGA booth at the Sheep Show

Coming up January 22-25, 2014 in Reno, Nevada is the Sheep Show by the Wild Sheep Foundation. IOGA (Idaho Outfitters and Guides Association) will have a booth there and we will have on hand for visitors a new 2014 IOGA directory as well as IDFG (Idaho Fish and Game) sheep, goat and moose regulations along with general hunting information regulation booklets.
