This years season started off with Eric Weese from Erda, Utah scoring on a beautiful Chocolate boar.

Week 2 saw Colby Downs from Louisiana shoot a geriatric bear (can't wait to find out the age on this one)

Then the RMEF gang from Bowling Green, Kentucky scored on 2 very nice boars before heading home.

And just last Saturday Carl Weeks from Twin Falls, Idaho shot what we believe will be a book boar. See our gallery for some pics so far. The rest of the pics are in the cameras on the mountain. More info as it arrives. Remember there are 5 weeks of this spring season left and we have about 8 spots available...and oh yeah...fall bear season is only 3 months away!

If you want the back woods Wild West hunting experience of a life time, call George of Wild Idaho Outfitters. He has a camp that is unbelievable and the know how to get a serious hunter into the bears. George is a stand up guy who has developed a hunting experience that is second to none, from his camp setup which boasts all the possible amenities of back country living and the fine dining he prepares there is no way for you not to enjoy your experience. George and Rusty will make it happen for you. You will not find two more likable guys you can associate and enjoy time with than Rusty and George.

The bear Rusty and George put me on may even get into the record books. He measured 5’10” long from nose to tail. He has a wing span of 6’8” and weighed 300lbs or more. This is the place to book your next hunt!!!!

As part of the RMEF gang from Bowling Green,Ky we went to Idaho for a spring bear hunt hoping to have a good hunt and enjoyable time with my wife and family members.

I have hunted all across North America and in New Zealand and have several Boone and Crockett book animals and the SCI #9 all-time Red Stag.

Wild Idaho Outfitters puts on as camp that is second to none - anywhere. The accommedations and food are excellant, the horses are all very well trained and George and Rusty work their butts off to make sure the hunters have a good oppertunity to harvest their game.

We will return for another hunt with our new found friends.

This was my first guided hunt and my first bear hunt. Even though I did not harvest a bear I would highly recommend George and Rusty to anyone. My self and a buddy both took our 9 year old sons and they loved every minute of the hunt. My buddy harvested a nice, possbily book black bear. I can't wait for the next time. George is a great guy and a great cook. We ate very well. The peach pancakes were my favorite. My son and I will cherish this memory for many years to come. Thanks WildIdahoOutfitters. We will be back. Sean Covey

First of all, I want to thank George and Rusty for a wonderful week. I've hunted my entire life and ridden in some gorgeous country, but this week ranks right up on the top of the list. From riding in to the bear baits, to crossing the "raging" river, to writing and sharing poetry with Rusty, it was truly a week I will never forget.
The look on my grandson's face as he rode in to camp (at midnight) on Kaye, his favorite mule, was worth more than money could ever buy. His smile was almost as big as my son-n-law's when on the third night he harvested "Tippy" a huge black bear that the Rusty and George had nicknamed. The food was fantastic, the tents and sleeping areas were clean and well kept, and the sound of the river at night put you to sleep.
The final lines of a poem, "sit back and come often, your one of the folks", truly does apply to this wonderful week spent in the Idaho wilderness. Thanks Guys.
